As announced before, the PV for the newest song of the Kagerou Project second album Mekaku City Records, 'Lost Time Memory' was uploaded at the midnight of March 30th 2013!
This song is centered on Kisaragi Shintarou, who seemingly to be the main protagonist of Kagerou Project. As it was with Yobanashi Deceive, the lyrics and PV are more ambiguous than songs like Kisaragi Attention or Headphone Actor.
No, it's not A-ya and Shintarou. Both are Shintarous. |
Song Impression
The tune is a lot like Jinzou Enemy, except more upbeat. Maybe with Headphone Actor and Children Record too. It's quite a good music, but I still think Yobanashi Deceive was slightly better. I really like the tune during the interlude, with IA's vocals.
PV Impression
Shidu's animation did improve more and more, especially this one is not rushed like Yobanashi Deceive. It's even more amazing than Yobanashi Deceive. The most catchy part for me is the part when Shintarou meets up with the Mekakushi-dan, it's colorful and Konoha is just too cute....
So, what did the PV possibly revealed?
(Explanation are theories, not confirmed canon, but some does revealed in the PV)
- Shintarou got a red eye power too, possibly passed from Ayano who got it too,
- There seems to be at least 2 routes (timeline or parallel worlds), with Shintarou that acts differently regarding Ayano's death and each of them even have different Enes,
- Shintarou saved Dark Konoha from killing himself and it seems like XX route Shintarou does attempted on killing himself by stabbing himself.
I'm not in the mood for more detailed theories (might do it later), but I did write one of them in tumblr.
Obligatory screenshot of my favorite childhood friends trio. |
An amazing tune though it's a bit repetitive from Jin's previous works, and a well-animated PV to accompany it, the 10th story of Kagerou Project, Lost Time Memory is worth a hear.
The next one? I heard rumors of it being Shounen Brave that's just got recorded yesterday. Can I wish for the childhood story of Kano, Kido and Seto on it?
